The Volvo SUV inventory includes three models, with one being a pure-electric variant. The full Volvo SUV lineup consists of the Volvo XC60, XC90, and XC40 Recharge. The Volvo XC60 is a roomy five-passenger SUV while the XC90 is the sole three-row SUV option. The Volvo XC40 is the smallest of the lot, offering drivers a compact SUV that flexes an electric powertrain and ample tech. Regardless of the model selected, Cherry Hill drivers can enjoy robust power, impressive interior features, and lavish tech features. Whether you're in the market for a new personal vehicle or you're after a roomy family hauler, the Volvo SUV lineup ensures plenty of options to consider.

Performance

There are a total of four engine options spreads across the three Volvo SUVs. The Volvo XC60 and Volvo XC90 offer up three of the powertrains while the XC40 Recharge offers up just one. The Volvo XC60 and XC90 can be outfitted with one of three engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, a 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 plug-in hybrid. The Volvo XC40 Recharge features a single powertrain, which includes dual permanent magnet synchronous motors and manages 402 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque (208 miles of driving range on a full charge). The Volvo XC60 and XC90 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 base engine (T5) offers up 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. If you're a Collingswood driver interested in sticking with a gas engine but want more power, then the 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 engine is a must consider. This supercharged version offers up 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 plug-in hybrid engine (Recharge) offers up 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque. All engines work with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is an available option with the base gas 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine while all-wheel drive comes standard with all upper engine options and the plug-in hybrid and electric engines.

Technology

The Volvo SUV lineup matches its sleek exterior design with a futuristic set of tech features. The Volvo XC60, like all Volvo SUVs, comes outfitted with a touchscreen infotainment display, smartphone connectivity, and a basic audio system. Upper trims allow drivers to increase tech features, with notable additions include a 10-speaker audio system, a Harman/Kardon audio system, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and wireless charging. Collingswood drivers can also look forward to two SUB-C ports and two USB-A ports. If you're interested in bundling additional features together to add to a specific trim, then the Advanced Package is an available option, which adds in adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera system, and wireless charging.

What's new to 2022

Changes vary by model selected, with the XC60 and XC90 getting a few tweaks and minor additions while the C40 and XC40 Recharge are entirely new model options - so it's all new, with them. The Volvo XC60 makes blind-spot monitoring standard with all trims, adds keyless entry/ignition to all trims, and also adds in power folding mirrors and a hands-free tailgate. The Volvo XC90 aligns with new additions to the XC60, offering drivers just a handful of changes while mostly remaining the same from the previous model year. New features include standard wireless charging, front parking sensors, an upgraded available Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and full LED headlights with active bending lights.
